Microwave Caramel Popcorn

4 quarts popped popcorn (2 bags of microwave popcorn)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup corn syrup
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp baking soda
Brown Paper Grocery Bag
In a 2 quart glass bowl, combine brown sugar, butter, corn syrup, salt  and vanilla. Microwave it for 3 minutes.  Take it out, stir it and nuke it  for another 1-1/2 minutes.  Take it out, stir in baking soda...it will  foam up a little.  Pour syrup over popcorn in bag.  Roll down the top of  the bag a couple times to close it and shake to coat the corn.  Place  the bag in the microwave and heat it for 1 minute and 10 seconds.   Remove, shake, flip the bag over and heat another 1 minute and 10  seconds.  Dump the corn out onto waxed paper, separating it a little and  let it cool to room temp.
